Our History

Our church started Sunday worship in late 1951 under the leadership of Rev. Gordon Tang, a missionary of the Evangelical Lutheran Church (ELC,currently the ELCA).The congregation started planting new ministries and in 1955 a new congregation began Sunday worship in Shibata. In 2001, Shibata Church and Megumi Church were combined as one congregation in Nagoya-Megumi Church. After the merge, a new sanctuary was built in 2009.
